Welcome to Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras. On March 27, 2008, at 10 a.m., we announced the formal company launch via the signing of a contract to purchase 76 Embraer 195 jets. The first three are to be delivered next December and are due to enter service in January 2009.

We are not just announcing a new airline company in Brazil. We are announcing a new way of working. A new era in the relationship between Travel Agents and the airlines. And not a moment too soon. The Travel Agent has never before had so few options when dealing with the aviation sector in Brazil. In practice, the market is concentrated in the hands of two companies, thereby reducing the commercial possibilities. Azul is here to change this picture.

Innovation does not end there. On our very first flight, you will be able to see for yourself how we intend to raise the level of service offered on air travel across Brazil. To this end, Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras will be working with parameters and attributes already adopted in the other companies founded and run by David Neeleman:

Our equipment of choice is the Embraer 195, an airplane which is perfectly suited to the Brazilian marketplace. With a smaller structural weight than their Boeing and Airbus counterparts, they operate more efficiently and economically. Therefore, they can be used for a larger number of intercity services. They will certainly establish new standards of comfort and safety, never before seen in the Brazilian market. When it starts operating in 2009, our company will, uniquely:

• Be the first airline company in Latin America to offer live TV in all seats.
• Use aircraft with all 118 seats upholstered in eco-leather.
• Have four seats per row, two on either side of the aisle (with no “center seat”).
• Boast the most advanced fleet in the country, comprising new aircraft fresh from the factory.
• Be the first and only one to fly with modern E-series Embraer jets.
• Run the most ecologically “green” fleet in the country.
• Have more space between rows than the competition.
• Offer a special snack service.
• Adopt attractive fidelity programs.
